This year Mark has been invited to commentate for the BBC Radio alongside their F1 correspondent James Allen, providing expert guidance and sharing the role of pundit with ex-Formula One driver and Le Mans 24 Hours winner Allan McNish.
Commencing with the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, and continuing in Spain last weekend, Mark broadcasts live on BBC Radio 5 Live, 5 Live Extra and BBC iPlayer, whilst also providing the live global feed on the official F1™ App.
“It is wonderful to be working with the BBC especially as I have known commentator James Allen for more than 20 years. We work closely with the TV team, which includes David Coulthard and my old boss Eddie Jordan, and we all contribute to the digital on-line offering. Spain was really rewarding because not only was my own team Status Grand Prix competing in the GP2 and GP3 support races, but I then had the most perfect vantage point for the Formula One race itself – the BBC commentary box situated at the top of the main grandstand. Enormous fun!”
